A public K-12 school district in Tampa, FL is seeking licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide therapeutic and evaluation services throughout multiple school locations on an onsite, contract basis through the current school year (ending May 23rd). Several positions are available to cover a range of schedules and caseload needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, primarily focusing on preschoolers aged 3 as part of the ChildFind program across various district locations
- Provide speech-language therapy and support for students from elementary through high school levels
- Collaborate with school staff to develop individualized plans for students with communication disorders
- Manage caseloads varying from one day per week to full-time placements depending on school site and student needs
- Participate in ongoing professional supervision if working under Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Florida SLP license required; applications from Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome (supervision will be arranged by the agency)
- Experience working in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Strong assessment and intervention skills across speech and language disorders
- Commitment to onsite work within the Tampa school district (no virtual/remote positions)
- Ability to travel within the district to multiple school locations as assigned
